Docking and cropping dew claw removal
concerned 4 our future Posts 1
|
I would just like to say hello to everyone. And from below you will see I'm in strong favor of supporting the rights to dock and dew claw removal. Recently I was at a dog show and information was being handed out on crop and dock from a K9 Alliance group. I have a few links that i have found being posted through Canada,. I just thought that if I did not hear about these things than maybe other breeders have not heard this as well. So I find it of great importance to pass this along to fellow breeders.
its always done so quietly.
Here are a some postings from Canada on the CVMA Dock crop and dew claw ban. http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...02&topic=13877 http://k9alliance.com/articles/Pet_L...egislation.pdf http://www.cdb.org/letters.htm http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...surgeries.html http://www.cbc.ca/canada/new-brunswi...g-surgery.html http://dogkisser.blogspot.com/2010/0...tion-bans.html
THIS LAST POST IS ABOUT SAVING OUR BREED STANDARDS> THAT DOCKING AND DEW CLAW REMOVAL ARE MORE THAN JUST COSMETIC THEY ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO OUR FUTURE WELFARE OF THE BREED CONCERNED> eg. , ear infections #1 canine claim at vet clinics. Dew claws ripped and torn. I say that if we can prevent any of our future canines from suffering any of these problems down the line than I will continue to dock and dew claw removal with the future welfare of my breed concerned.

please read as many as you can because when Canada fails maybe the US will be the next target.

I raise and sell chihuahuas. AKC and CKC usually. I am trying to post an ad but I believe I have to wait 12 hours it says. I also am trying to show my email, phone, etc. Does any one know how to do this or does this site not do that? Glad to meet you. Kathy

Check out the history of DIAMOND, they have killed more dogs and had more recalls than any other brand on the market, there is a reason they are cheap. This is the best link to see the quality of dog foods that I have found

This sure is a boxer trait, they just love the attention. I suggest the use of "HAPPY LEGS" training stilts. They are very effective at both teaching your dog to stack properly and stay put once stacked. I find that working with them a little right before ring time greatly improves ring performance.

You don't read them, You send the tapes in to a recognized facility. This helps keep results legitimate and provides documentation for people who need/want to see your results.

We are Davis Schnauzers. I am also a Pet Groomer of 25 years. We have been breeding Schnauzers for 6 years. We have found that breeding dogs is a learning exsperiance every time. Our dogs are home raised. We only have 2 girls and one stud dog. I have gone away from AKC, due to their belief that there are only 3 colors of schnauzers. So we register ACA and APRI. Our dogs are 13". Colors range from silver, chocolate, black/white party. We raise our dogs to be friendly, play with toys. Just to be the best family dog we can. Each pup is pre spoiled before they leave us. Thanks for reading. Julia.

I just adopted a red Miniature Pincher. I had her for 3 days before I knew she had Kennel cough. I called my Vet and got an appointment for 2 dogs, so I didn't have to take all 5. I called the shelter to tell them. They get defensive saying they were trying to get a hold of it. If they had told me I would have been able to take her right to the vet, and not exspose all the dogs to it. My Vet did not charge me for her bill, just my stud dog. So I am giving all 5 dogs antibiotics. She is going to be a great traveling buddy. Honey is so sweet. Thanks for reading. Julia.

The problem is that you already got her used to doing it in the house and garden. It will be harder to teach her now to do it differently but it is not impossible. You should take her out every 3 hours or so or when she drinks a lot of water after playing or running. Do not let her go in the garden during this time and she will start doing her business outside. You have to be consistent and she will soon learn that she cannot do her business in the house or the garden. You do not have to walk her every 3 hours, but take her to the spot where she can do her business and wait until she does it. You should give her a regular walk twice a day.

Eight Week Chiahuahua and his silliness...

I know that with any puppy they love to nibble on stuff since they are teething...but is it normal for them to spin in circles until they are dizzy just to go poo? I know every dog has their own personality, but this is just silly.

I raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I keep my breeding stock as well as my puppies on Purina Puppy Chow all year round. I found it to be the best for maintaining weight, shiney coats and good stools. Their energy level is good and they seem to like it well. My puppies do well on it with nice coats, firm stools and overall good health. I feed the beef and not the other as they don't like the other type as well. Too many veggies in it i guess and who likes vegetables? lol.

We have 4 adults and right now, we have 4 puppies that are 5 weeks old, that we are accepting deposits on. We have 2 Tri's, a Blenheim and a Ruby as adults.
