I think the documentary sheds light on an important animal rights/welfare issue. Although I'm not a big fan of PETA, and in the long run I think PETA's support of the documentary has hurt rather than helped spread it's message, since so many people have stopped taking PETA seriously.

I'd like to clarify my above post (I forgot to say this and there's no edit button), that I don't agree with PETA or the documentary that all breeders are like the ones in the documentary, though. I've interacted well with breeders before, and I know a few who are wonderful people with excellent (and healthy!) dogs. So that would be my one crit. of the doc; it only looks at one viewpoint, and sort of pigeon holes all breeders into one category.

You don't want to know my comments about this documentary because they would be unprintable. Unfortunately many well-meaning people support PETA and their like because they love animals. I know, I used to be a card carrying member myself. However, PETA has become NO-Animal instead of PRO-Animal. It only takes a little time to do the research. If you want to donate money to animals, go to your local breed rescue or animal shelter. That way you know the money is going to animal care, not lobbyists and high salaries and advertising.
