A dog from North Carolina ate some cash, to be exact, three $100 bills and five $20 bills totalling $400. Kelley
Davis, a physical therapist, said that she had $400 in cash to deposit to her bank account. According to the News & Observer of Raleigh, she said that she planned to deposit the money, but it was not in her pocket and she tried to think at that moment where she left it.
She remembered that she left the money in her bedroom but could not find it even when she went there to look for it. The only suspect she had was the family's 2-year-old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Augie. She quickly concluded that the dog had something to do with the disappearance of the money and that Augie could have possibly eaten it.
When Davis took Augie for a walk Saturday, she found parts of
three $100 bills and five $20s in his poo. She collected the parts and washed them with a garden hose. She hopes that she can use the pieces she found to exchange them for cash with the Department of Treasury. The veterinarian told them that Augie will be fine and that the money he ate will not make him sick. Augie was probably trying to save the money for the tough times ahead. At least Davis has an excuse now why she could not make her next payment. Her dog ate her money!
