Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary......

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now................

Big Dog In a Small Dog's Body

by K9Ring December 05, 2009 23:19

The litle dog in this picture must have some Napoleon complex. He took the big bed from the big dog and made the big dog sleep in his small bed. Maybe he thinks he is bigger than he really is or wants to show the big dog who is the boss.

Dog VS. Praying Mantis

by K9Ring December 05, 2009 14:35

As you can see, the dog was heavily favored in this fight. The praying mantis was fighting an opponent totally out of its league when it comes to weight and size but if you watched Kung Fu Panda, you know that the praying mantis should not be underestimated. Despite these shortcomings, the praying mantis put on a great fight. It seems that both of them got KO'd in the end or got very tired after this epic battle. If you want the real ending, then you can take a look here: http://ihuche.com/2009/10/archives/1564.html. Let's just say, this fight did not end so well for the praying mantis.

Best Sleeping Puppy Picture Ever!

by K9Ring November 30, 2009 12:38

This little guy (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) must have been tired from all of the partying...Ahem...I mean playing the night before. I just don't know how he can sleep with his front paws to the side like that. Usually, when dogs sleep on their backs, all four of their legs just remain suspended in the air. He looks very humanlike.

The Smartest Dog Ever!

by K9Ring October 22, 2009 13:37

This is one very smart dog. Wait a second! All dogs are smart. They just don't want to show off in front of us to not appear that they know everything we tell them to do but still keep disobeying us. Wink

The World’s Manliest Accessory

by K9Ring October 21, 2009 22:33

We just had a post about people pushing their dogs in strollers and here is another example of why pets should not be treated as accessories or human beings. In this picture, I do not know what is worse, the fact that the dog is not getting a daily exercise or the guy who thinks he is cool carrying a tiny dog in a pink baby carrier. Being seen with a tiny dog is pretty emasculating on its own, so this guy either likes to feel emasculated or he is a genius that discovered the perfect chick magnet. Whatever it might be, I just hope that it does not become a trend.

Dog Too Lazy to Walk

by K9Ring October 21, 2009 17:52

This Bulldog (most likely their owner Wink) seems to not understand the concept of walking a dog. A dog has four legs and they are used for walking. This owner apparently thinks that their dog is too precious to walk or they literally think that their dog is their child. He looks like he is still puppy and if he does not have an illness, there is no reason why he should not walk. Dogs that sit all day in the house, or in this case, sit in a baby stroller outside when supposed to walk become overweight easily and can have serious health problems. She is not doing any favor to this dog, just making him more immobile.

Sadly, this is not the first time I have seen a person doing this. In a park nearby while walking my boxer, I have seen a woman walk with two Yorkies in an enclosed type of a stroller and they were jumping and barking loudly as she was walking. One of them was showing his frustration by chewing the mesh and trying to get out. They were perfectly healthy dogs and capable of walking, but their owner preferred to push them in a stroller for an unknown reason. Just remember, dogs need to run and need daily exercise to stay healthy and walking them in a stroller will only make you look ridiculous and your dog unhappy.

Dog Playing Fetch With a Ball Machine

by K9Ring October 11, 2009 23:50

Jerry is a Dachshund whose owner created a ball machine that launches a tennis ball for Jerry to fetch it. Keep in mind that this machine also features IR proximity sensors that will stop the machine to protect anyone who is too close to it. Jerry already knows how to load the ball so he does not have to wait for anyone else to do it. Jerry seems to have found a new friend, the ball machine! GO Jerry GO!

Rolling French Bulldog Puppy

by K9Ring September 29, 2009 23:04

This is what happens when you overeat and your tummy is too full to get up. This cute and funny French Bulldog puppy cannot get up and his mother does not even bother trying to help him. She just sleeps unbothered while her pup is struggling. I guess she is "practicing survival of the fittest". Wink
